Contemporary visual artist Biome is one of the emerging creatives on Canada cultural stage active in Toronto and Montreal but also NYC, to closely watch. He gravitates towards a keen observation of the subtle geometry of forgotten and/or ignored elements of the cosmic congruence.
These visual elements can be somewhat invisible even surrounding us. The artistic methods include observation, analysis, understanding / digesting and representing back. A process creatively involving a deep dive in the artist subconscious self.
Visual expressionism hidden under an appearance of realism.
Unconditional expressionist by nature, this inspired contemporary artist ‘s process often becomes enciphered. Conceptual in essence, the artist cleverly hides it all under a blanket of realism.
Nevertheless, the experienced viewer will notice the abstract side of this visual artistry. An initiatic endeavour of discerning every seed, every human figure is, in fact, a sum of the simplest shapes and lines defining his ciphered plastic language. A process of destruction of these “academic” (micro-macro) large-size drawings is present as well. In a very contemporary, deconstructive approach, this visual artist alters, damages, intervenes or expands the flat panels upon which the drawing is laid, into colorful and sometimes Euclidean geometric shapes – in subtle contrast with the living, harmonic geometry of nature.
